Citizens from China can enter Vietnam without Vietnam Visa for Chinese?

If you are holding a Business Travel Card (APEC), then Vietnam visa for Chinese is not compulsory. By this, APEC card owners are able to stay in Vietnam without Visa for less than 60 days.

However, Vietnam visa for Chinese is obligatory for all citizens of China at all frontiers. This policy is valid for all purpose of visiting as well as the length of stay.

There are 2 official methods in order to gain Vietnam visa for Chinese:

  • Apply online to get Vietnam visa for Chinese upon arrival. Holders of Visa letter which has been approved by Vietnam Immigration department can obtain Visa for a maximum stay of 1 or 3 months at Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh or Da Nang airport.

The whole procedure contains 3 main steps. This way has been voted and recommended because of its safe and cheap cost compared to the traditional method.

After that: we will send you the approval letter from the Immigration department within 24 hours (normal service). It takes 4-8 hours for urgent service and less than 30 minutes for emergency case.

Final step: print out the approval letter we sent you to gain Visa sticker onto your passport at Vietnam airports.

+ Processing time: from 30 minutes to 24 hours as maximum.
+ Special requirement: there is no requirement for documents, proofs.

  • Apply Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy

+ Processing time: from 5-7 working days at least.
+ Special requirement: sending-off original passport with passport’s validity is more than 6 months.

Apply at Vietnam Embassy is appropriate for those who prefer to gain Vietnam visa for Chinese on their passports in advance. However, it will take them a lot of time and money because of its own complicated procedure.

Chinese can get e-visa to visit Vietnam by bus, cruise

Notably, the degree 07/2017/ND-CP which has been valid from 1st Feb 2017, China is listed 1 out of 40 countries in which citizens from these countries can get a new 30-day e-visa for business and tourist travel to Vietnam. This policy has brought to applicants many benefits compared to in the past when applicants want to enter Vietnam by cruise or bus, they must apply Visa at Vietnam Embassy.

In addition, it is possible to extend e-visa for an additional 30 days.

Regards to the procedure of Vietnam e-visa, applicants just need to send their passport scan to email address: sales@visaonlinevietnam.com. After 3 working days, applicants can receive the approval letter via email to get Visa sticker at all allowance arrival ports.
