According to the Mother Nature website, there are many mesmerizing scenes which can be found throughout Southeast Asia, but it will be very regretful if the Sapa terraced fields of Vietnam are not mentioned. The people have been doing the seemingly impossible for millennia: growing rice – which requires a flat surface and a lot of water – in mountainous areas. The terraced paddy fields not only yield substantial crops of the widely consumed staple; but are also a gorgeous sight to behold. Agriculture at its best … and most beautiful!

The terraced paddy fields own different beauty during different periods of time when the rice is evergreen or yellow. Sapa is also home of many ethnic minorities, forming a region of unique culture, attracting a lot of tourists every year.

Other names included in the list are Salar de Uyuni (salt flats) in Bolivia; Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina; Blue Lagoon in Iceland, and so on.
