  UK, French, Italian, German and Spanish get Vietnam Visa Exemption for another 1 Year It is really great news for those holding UK, Italian, Spanish, French and German passports and wish to visit Vietnam in the coming time as according to Decision No. 56/NQ-CP of the Vietnamese Government dated June 30, 2016, they are entitled for 15-day vietnam visa exemption for another 1 years starting from July 1, 2016. Conditions to get 15-day visa exemption are as follows: Firstly,their passport is valid for at least 6 months from their arrival date; Then,their stay in Vietnam is no more than 15 days; & Finally,their arrival date is not within 30 days from date of exit of their last visit to Vietnam with visa exemption . Otherwise, a valid  Vietnam visa  is required. And in this case, they can obtain it in 2 ways: Get visa via the local Vietnam embassy/consulate; OR Get a Vietnam visa on arrival. Further 1 year of Vietnam visa exemption for UK, Spanish, German, Italian and French As all may know, Vietnam Government officially exempted Vietnam visa for UK, Spanish, German, Italian and French from July 1, 2015 with the first period of 1 year. After that, it was extended for another 1 year starting from July 1, 2016. This extension duration will be soon expired on this June 30. However, its expiration does not mean an end to this policy. Recently, the Vietnam Government has decided to  extend this policy for another 1 year . Why the Proposal on 30-day Vietnam visa Exemption for Citizens of 5 European countries is not approved? As reported, on April 28, 2016, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam proposed a 30-day visa exemption for citizens of five European countries, consisting of UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy instead of 15-day exemption at that time. However, on July 1, 2016, the Government issued the Resolution No. 56/ND-CP which approved 15-day Vietnam visa exemption for those citizens for one year until June 30, 2017. Why the proposed 30-day visa exemption for those citizens is not approved?
