-  The speed limit in Vietnam is in range from just 25 km to 80 km per hour.  It also varies from place to place, depending on  different areas in town or country side. Therefore, you should not break the speed limit. A fine for breaking speed limit can cost you from 40 USD and above. The worst thing is that your vehicles can even be kept by police up to 30 days!

- Another thing you should keep in mind is animals. They can be anywhere in the country or mountainous areas. For instance, dogs, chicken, buffalo, pig or even horse can suddenly appear and stop your way. So, the best way is to slow down your speed and avoid them, or stop the engine to wait them cross over and continue your riding trip.

- Pay attention to spilt oil from trucks and buses at curves on the mountain roads. They are extremely slippery. Some accidents ever happened due to this cause!

- Hand gesture and body language will be often used by tour guide on both on road the offroad to give you signs in case there exists big potholes, trucks or any danger. Whenever you want to stop, just use the signal or simply pull off since the tour guide can see you in the mirror. However, your safety is always the priority, be attentive to the riders behind you. In the situation that you get lost, it is vital to get help from someone or contact us to find and pick you up. - Though it is once in a blue moon that you might be stopped by the polices, your guide will not stop then. Insteads, he will wait for you, out of sight up road. It is better for you to keep speaking in English. It does not matter what you talk about, just use your mother language and you will be free to go after a couple of minutes!

- Remind to use both brakes together simultaneously when there are wet roads.

- Be aware of keeping enough distance between you and other riders who might also be local people to ensure there will not be any surprise. The traffic is often slow if in urban areas. Vietnam Motorbike Trips recommends you to have riding space of 10 m to 20 m when riding on highways or in the mountainous areas.
